ELKWOOD
ELKWOOD is a unique and inspiring, state of the art recording facility.
Located on 48 acres of parkland in the beautiful Blue Mountains world heritage national park.
THE STUDIO
ELKWOOD has a large A room complete with a Yamaha S6 concert grand piano. There are multiple large rooms and spaces in the manor for recording, each with there own unique sound and character.
The studio control room has an extensive range of highly professional microphones and recording equipment.
We have experience across a very broad range of successful recording projects.
We sincerely encourage a visit to the studio to check out the space, enjoy the mountains, be inspired and share your ideas.
MIXING-MASTERING
ELKWOOD has an extensive collection of remarkable and unique analogue equipment. Some of the very best. We work in a hybrid style with a mix of digital and analogue. Each production is very different and requires a considered and reflective approach to post-production.
STRAUSS electroacoustic MF4 precision studio monitors.
There are 3 PYRAMIX post-production suites. We also have Nuendo, Pro Tools, Logic and Wavelab.
DOLBY ATMOS Projects are available.
We can work in all pre and post-production at sample rates of 44.1kHZ – 384kHz PCM/ DSD 64,256, 512fs
MASTERING
We master many of our projects here in the studio. We have a superb nearfield set up and get great results. Craig has trained with Wim Bult in the Netherlands and with Harald Gericke in Germany.
We can master for all digital platforms, CD and vinyl release.
